AusGo has continued the trend of a fantastic season with obtaining the Kangaroo Tour YC jersey for the first time. It is the first time that an Australian rider riding for an Australian team has managed the feat of obtaining a jersey at their home race.
When the winner of the YC, Graham Creagh, went for the live press conference, he could not have been more pleased with the result. "The team worked so well for me throughout the tour. Even though we did not get any stage wins, we managed to take YC and this is a compliment to the boys hard efforts over the tour."
When asked about missing out on the chance of a classic win in Rotterdam, Creagh didn't seem to upset. "Adolfo Belsue was the sole captain at Rotterdam and I was his main leadout for that race. He has repaid me by leading out for me in the whole tour and overall I think the chemistry within the team is just amazing at the moment."
The victory means that AusGo has moved up into the 2nd Division of the OCM (Zyte). The first scheduled race in Zyte Division for AusGo is coincidentally another classic, Helsinki GP Mini. Let's hope that we continue this great season with another good result in Finland.
